WebWhat is DWR (Durable Water Repellency)? Many of SITKA’s outerwear and all GORE-TEX® garments are treated with an ultra-thin treatment of DWR, or durable water repellent. This treatment causes water to bead up and roll off of the outer layer of the garment, instead of being absorbed or wetting out. WebSprayed DWR on the jacket and placed in the dryer on high heat for 30 minutes. However the water is still not beading up on the face fabric. I have tried re-spraying with DWR Spray with the jacket dry, let that sit and it still doesn't bead up. I've tried putting in the dryer again to re-activate the DWR, nothing. Is there anything else I can try?
